Welcome to the BetterInvesting wiki!

wiki?

A wiki is a collaborative web site that allows anyone to edit its pages. This particular wiki is for people who are interested in investment clubs and the style of investing identified with BetterInvesting and the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC).

What can you do here? We hope that many of you will use this wiki to contribute your knowledge, ideas, and points of view about BetterInvesting and the BetterInvesting style of investing. You can add comments to existing pages, or you can rewrite existing pages. You can even create entirely new sections of the wiki. There are countless ways to use this space, and we're counting on you find them, invent new ones, and make it work!

We hope that what emerges from this wiki is a body of knowledge that we all can use.

How to Get Started

Before you start using the wiki, we want to make a couple of things perfectly clear:

We know that the BetterInvesting community is a fair and honest one, characterized by respect for all opinions. Flames, sales pitches (about either products or specific investment clubs) and any other inappropriate content will be removed from this site at the administrator's sole discretion.  Please read the information at "About This Site" (click on those works on the vertical menu bar to the left). To report any inappropriate content, please email the administrator.

With that out of the way, here are some tips for getting started:

  1. If you would simply like to browse the site, click around and have fun!
  2. If you would like to contribute content to the site, you will have to add yourself as a registered user. Click on the "Log In" link to your right.
  3. Use the links on the left hand side of the site to navigate to new areas and access content.  Don't overlook the "Site Index" link (an index to all the page titles).
  4. Use the links on the right of the hand side of the site to edit content, etc.
  5. Use the "Comments" link on the bottom of the page to add your comments to a page without modifying its other content.
  6. Need more help? Try the editme wiki.

Have fun!

I fix links to BetterInvesting as I come across them.  If you want to point out a specific page with a bad link, I'll fix it.  Or, better yet, fix it yourself (that's what a "wiki" is for!).

The links to the Better Investing articles are no longer valid.  They refer to better-investing, but, in addition, those articles now require a membership
