Model Clubs

The term Model Investment Club is generally used to identify a demonstration club that meets regularly and is sponsored by a local BetterInvesting Chapter.

The purpose of BI Model Clubs is to introduce the BetterInvesting long-term investment philosophy and stock study tools to anyone who is interested.

Model Clubs can take several formats, among which are:

  • Fully operational, real-money clubs to which anyone may belong. Membership in the club usually requires membership in BetterInvesting.
  • Fully operational, real-money clubs in which membership is open only to Chapter Directors.
  • Study Clubs that are usually open forums to discuss stocks and investment principles, but which do not maintain a real-money portfolio, and which may either may or may not maintain and track a mock portfolio.

Many of these Model Clubs are open to anyone who wants to visit and observe the meetings, regardless of their format.
