A potential place to compare SSG software features, methodology, known bugs, etc ... Overview
SSG = Stock Selection Guide. SDS Data = Imports data directly from BetterInvesting's S&P Stock Data Service. SC Data = Imports data directly from StockCentral.com. PERT = PERT Report, or similar functionality. *: With the exception of Take Stock and the BI Online Tools, all of this software can import .SSG data files. The table above identifies which software can access data directly from the web server with no need to manually download the data as an .SSG file first. 1: The Stock Investment Guide (Churr Software) and SASS (Intuitec Software) can also import sufficient financial data to do an SSG from moneycentral.msn.com (and save it in .SSG format) without additional charge. Note that such data is not "normalized" (as SDS and Value Line data are). 2: There are multiple versions of the Take Stock software. There are two desktop versions that use SDS Data and there is a web-based version that uses SC Data. No version of Take Stock can import an .SSG data file. There probably should be a note that there are THREE different versions of Take Stock: NAIC, ICLUBcentral and StockCentral.
Also, all of the software that can read SSG files can read StockCentral's SSG files, and can update from them.
